Access and Security

To ensure safety and privacy of the occupants at Mission Hall, an activated UCSF badge is required to access any floors between 2-7. All visitors must check-in at Security Desk to access Floors 2-7.

ELEVATORS: Upon boarding an elevator, swipe your badge, when the light turns green, push your floor button. Each person must swipe before pushing their floor. A valid badge must be swiped to operate the elevators. If your badge is not working properly, please contact your Floor Coordinator or manager.

BADGE ACCESS: A process is in the works to manage authorized users at Mission Hall (who do not have a work station assignment). Information will be posted here as soon as it is available and shared broadly with all occupants.

Amenities

Bike Racks: located on east side of Mission Hall; Covered bike parking is available in the Third Street and Owens Street parking garages. (see map)

Classrooms and Conference Center: located on First and Second Floor are scheduled through 25Live via MyAccess.

Restrooms: Gender-neutral bathrooms located on First and Second Floors.

Lactation/Wellness Rooms: located on Floors 3, 5 and 7 – contact Suzie Kirrane for access. If you are a visitor or do not have access yet, please let any of the floor coordinators know and they can open the room for you to use.

Public Parking: locations at Third Street garage, Owens Street garage and Medical Center (see map).

Mission Bay Shuttle: stop locations found here (see map).

 

Conference Rooms + Herbst Learning Commons

Classrooms and Conference Center located on First and Second Floor are scheduled through 25Live via MyAccess. For conference rooms in the secured areas on floors 2 thru 7, please contact the appropriate floor coordinator. Contact information can be found here.

The Hub & The Hideout....powered by the UCSF Library

The Hub and The Hideout are open 24/7 to UCSF students, fellows and other personnel on a drop-in basis. The Hub is an active work area designed for collaborative activity, group projects and meet-ups. Amenities include a variety of clustered furniture, whiteboard walls, treadmill work stations, large screen display and printer. There is also a service desk, staffed at certain hours to provide practical assistance with a range of issues, including computer support, data management and literature searching.

The Hideout is a quiet space intended for solitary study, hidden away from the distractions of the rest of the campus. It has individual study carrels, some height-adjustable desks, and tables for those who prefer to spread out while studying for long hours.

Mission Bay Student Services: Located on the first floor of Mission Hall in Room 1300, Student Services is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and provides the following services:

Office of the Registrar:
Provides registration information, accepts registration fee payments, forms, and petitions, and can hold transcripts and diplomas for pickup.

Student Financial Aid:
Provides information about student financial aid and loan repayment, answers questions about the financial aid application process, accepts paperwork, checks on the status of student disbursements and counsels students regarding an array of issues related to the cost of attending UCSF and the resources available to assist them in meeting those expenses. 

Student Life:
Provides the administrative support for the Graduate & Professional Student Association, Synapse and more than 180 registered campus organizations and develops diverse and innovative student programs and activities.
